Hi folks,
I’m hard at work wrapping up the final commits for the next version of FT8Call (version 0.5) but wanted to quickly touch base.
We’re currently working on new frequencies for FT8Call which will be included in the next version to prevent QRM. But, in the meantime, we also have the emergency situation with hurricane Lane threatening Hawaii. ARRL ARES has requested operators to avoid 7.080MHz so it can be used for relief coordination. I recommend FT8Call operators to drop down to 7.078MHz for the time being until the threat has passed. You can change the 40m frequency on the Frequencies tab in the settings.
Thanks y’all. Keep an eye out over the next few days for a release announcement for Version 0.5 of FT8Call. And as always, let me know if I can help in the meantime.
Best,
Jordan / KN4CRD
